After visiting the Arctic Cathedral my short shore excursion today took me to the Tromsø University Museum that has an excellent exhibition on the Sami culture and history and of the development of modern North Norway. This Museum also includes an Arctic-alpine botanic garden, the world's ‘northernmost’ botanical garden. I spent a delightful half-an-hour in beautiful sunshine exploring the display of alpine blue poppies, geraniums and rhododendrons.
